Estonia

We stopped in Tallinn, Estonia on one of our ports for our Black Sea Cruise. People were super cool and felt very European.

June 19- Tallinn, Estonia

So last night we stayed up late again, until 2 actually; though the worst part about that is we had to wake up at 8 AM to get ready and eat breakfast before we went onto the mainland of Estonia. It took me forever to convince Ansley out of bed, but finally we all stumbled out of our hotel room and down stairs for breakfast. We ate at the Irish cafe place, then we were supposed to be allowed to get off the boat, but we had to wait in our room till around 9:30 for the boat to be fully tied up. At that time we had to find our way through a huge crowd of people waiting to get off the boat, it was Chaos. However, after we finally got off the ship we walked all the way to old town of Tallinn, about a 10 or so minute walk through the streets. We were fast walking kinda trying to get around people, to be at the front. Probable not a surprise if y’all know us, we definitely did not want to take part in any of the excursions offered by the boat, not because they aren't good, but since we like to do our own thing and not feel limited. Not to mention we all don’t like being in huge groups of people, so yeah no on the excursion. Anyways, In the city we took tons of pictures in the medieval city. It is one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world. It was all medieval with it’s stone wall surrounding it with high towers, and ancient cathedrals. It was a cool city. We ran all around taking photos going in sovienquire stores, exploring, and we ate at a vegan cafe as a snack, then later at a pizza place for lunch, then finally a chocolate place for dessert. At every restaurant we would get to know the waiter/Waitress and ask them about life in Estonia. It was really interesting and a lot of fun. Though after lunch it started pouring down rain, and so I gave ansley my rain jacket to keep her from complaining cause I was the only one prepared LOL. Then we also went to get ponchos from the supermarket(we asked someone where we could kind them) to all stay dry. Ans was about to kill me since I kept wanting to explore the city rather than go back to the boat. I was climbing steep stairs, trying to open secret doors, and playing around the castle like structure. I was determined to see all parts of the city, and my dad( although super tired and wanted to go back to the boat also) supported me and told Ans that I could have as much time as I wanted. So we walked all over, we explored every inch of that town. We went to like 5 ancient cathedrals, a few of which we got to explore the inside of. We saw the Parliament of Estonia, and a bunch of other cool buildings. The buildings were all so colorful light blue, pink, yellow, green, and basically any color you can imagine. It was a great town full of history. We then after exploring, around 2 got a taxi back to our cruise to beat the crowd. Our taxi driver dropped us off to where we had to walk somewhat far to the cruise rather than right in front of it, weird cause other taxis were bringing people all the way. Anyway we went through a few of the road side tents that were shops, then it started pouring rain, so we ran back to the cruise soaking wet then had to still wait out in the rain to get back onto the cruise. Then we had to go through security to get back on the boat when we got to the front the line( it was annoying 3 people completely cut in front of us on purpose). We all  went back to the room were we relaxed and changed before going to an asian noodle place for dinner. I customized my order there( like always I rarely order straight from the menu), though the food when it came out was in really small portions. Then after that while my dad went to the concierge to ask about booking us a actual tour in Russia when we figured out Russia is more intense, and without a tour we would get arrested for going around in Russia. Anyways, while my dad did that Ans and I went to a sweet shop where we got 5 baby cupcake( oreo, 2 peanut butter, carrot cake, vanilla).Anyways, we went back to the room to enjoy our cupcake, then my dad later returned to tell us he got the last three spots on the “Best of Russia” tour, so yay! Then Ans ordered room service, which she later ended up eating on the deck while someone cleaned our room, and after that we were gonna go on the spider net but it was closed. Forgot to tell y’all apparently the wind is crazy and so yeah. Anyway, we went to check out the teen club again, Ans wouldn’t go in with me and I wasn’t impressed so yeah. Next, Ans and I went to the arcade where we played the racing boat and motorcycle, as well as the air hockey game which I beat Ans 3 of the 4 games of hockey. After that we came back to the room where now we are just chilling and playing Fortnite with our cousin Greyson. So anyway, I’m signing out since I have to be up tomorrow by 7 AM for our tour tomorrow. So Bye Y’all!
