I volunteered for Pet Blood Bank during my study abroad in London where on an average day 20 dogs donate blood each equivalent to 4 life-saving transfusions. I assisted with both the phlebotomy portion, and the pre/post patient care. I gained valuable skills of proper sterilization practices, client communication, and record keeping.
