Frisco High School Independent Study Mentorship

I began shadowing at vet clinics in my early high school years through ISM. I learned skills like how cold call and email to set up interviews. Then after I selected Lazy Paws as my clinic of choice, I went in weekly to shadow DVM Julaine Hunter. For my final project for the semester I first created an informational paper on the importance of vaccination and preventative care. Then I conducted a comparative analysis distinguishing a homemade dog food diet versus a store bought dog food diet. Then made teaching aid on important components of animal nutrition.
