University of Michigan Research

I conducted research at the University of Michigan in the Duffy Lab with the oversight of Dr. Meghan Duffy. My first project was under the guidance of post-doc Syuan-Jyun Sun concerning the plasticity and heritability of disease on the zooplankton Daphnia ecological system dependent on projected climate change. My next project, that is going to be used for my undergrad honors thesis, was done under the mentorship of post-doc Marcin Dziuba. The project tested if Daphnia are reservoirs for antibiotic resistance, and if proximity to human settlements in urban and farmland environments affect the susceptibility of Daphnia to acquiring antibiotic resistance.
